Abstract

The article investigates the methodological foundations of the formation of a logistics management system for material flows at the regional level. The significance of logistics management as a scientific direction in the modern economy and its role in optimization of flow movement of different saturations, both material and intangible, are analyzed. The impact of logistics on the transport and business processes efficiency, cost reduction, improvement of the quality of goods and services, and increase of companies competitiveness, is investigated. The aim of the article is development the scientific and methodological principles of logistics management of material flows at the regional level, identification the main problems of its implementation and propose ways for its solutions. The research methodology incorporates several general scientific approaches, including empirical methods (observation, comparison), theoretical methods (transition from abstract to concrete), and universal scientific methods (abstraction and specification, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, analogy), among others. The importance of addressing the scientific issue presented in this study stems from the fact that, despite a substantial body of research in logistics management, numerous unresolved questions persist, requiring further exploration and practical application. These include designing adaptive models for regional logistics system management, accounting for economic development characteristics, infrastructure nuances, and transport accessibility. The studyʼs findings indicate that implementing robust logistics strategies enhances competitiveness of enterprises, reduces costs, refines transport flows, and elevates logistics service quality. The widespread implementation of modern digital technologies is proposed, which will significantly improve the efficiency of logistics flows, ensure accurate demand forecasting, and optimize supply chains. Accordingly, the author proposes improving logistics management in the regional economy through the application of innovative technologies, optimization of material and logistics flow management, and optimization of logistics chains efficiency. The study’s originality and applied significance lie in substantiating a methodological approach whose implementation can facilitate the development of effective logistics process management mechanisms, thereby improving service quality, lowering costs, and fostering regional economic stability. The study’s conclusions affirm that logistics management is a crucial instrument for optimizing material, information, financial, and service flows at the regional level. The effective execution of logistics strategies strengthens business competitiveness, minimizes expenses, enhances transport flow coordination, and improves logistics service standards. The research findings hold potential benefits for logistics enterprises at various levels.
