Abstract
The article investigates the impact of migration flows on the revenues of hotel enterprises on the example of Polish hotels by studying the sources and directions of financial support at the level of international, public and private institutions. The support of Ukrainian refugees by hotel business entities is objectively determined by international social policy, which reflects, on the one hand, the possibility of using the existing room stock to accommodate military migrants that need temporary shelter, and on the other hand, the search for sources of funding for revenue generation and business support. The purpose of the article is to identify sources of support for the profitability of hotels in humanitarian crises аnd analysis of directions for financing accommodation and employment services for migrants. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study is the general scientific and special research methods: survey method (collecting data from a diverse sample), abstract and logical analysis and comparison (determining migration processes and sources of hotel financing); logical generalization (formulating conclusions from the study). The results of the study allowed us to highlight the peculiarities of hotels’ search for funding for temporary accommodation of migrants in humanitarian crises conditions. It is proved that the two years of war in Ukraine have exacerbated the problems associated with forced migration in Poland, in particular with the definition of competences in the labour market. The originality of the article is due to the fact that the functions that the hotel business implements in difficult conditions were investigated, in particular, transforming approaches to revenue management through the prism of social partnership. The practical value of the article lies in the possibility of considering the experience of Polish hotels in finding sources of financing, developing a system of support for migrants by national hotel chains, and involving the management of domestic hotels in international projects, in particular in the decision-making process that will contribute to the recovery of the hotel business in Ukraine. It has been determined that the refugees needs and expectations will require the hotel business to search for funding sources. On the example of Polish hotels, the author develops an algorithm of actions for attracting external financing, which is a factor in ensuring (growth) of revenues and ability of hotels to increase the volume of assistance to migrants without reducing key performance indicators. The study reveals the support directions offered by hotels to Ukrainian refugees when seeking temporary shelter in Poland. Considering the experience of social activite of Polish hotels will increase the level of social responsibility of national hotel chains.
