Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of energy efficiency during the war in Ukraine and the post-war reconstruction of the energy sector. Focusing on the specific context of military conflict in Ukraine, the impact of the war on energy infrastructure, energy supply of the population and energy efficiency problems arising from the destruction, damage and shutdown of energy facilities are analyzed. Considerable attention is paid to the post-war reconstruction of the energy sector in Ukraine. The strategies and measures taken to restore energy infrastructure, in particular the reconstruction and modernization of energy facilities, restore energy supplies and ensure energy security, are investigated. The importance of increasing energy efficiency in the process of post-war reconstruction is emphasized. The possibilities of introducing energy-saving technologies and developing effective systems for managing energy processes are studied. Positive aspects of energy efficiency, such as reducing energy costs, reducing the negative impact on the environment and ensuring sustainable development, are determined. The establishment of effective mechanisms for the management and control of energy resources, the introduction of innovative technologies, support for the renewable energy development and using of energy-saving methods will be key components of the post-war reconstruction strategy. The obtained research results are relevant and important for scientific research institutions, political authorities and energy specialists, as they highlight the issues of energy efficiency during the war and post-war reconstruction in Ukraine, and also may be useful for developing the recovery strategies of the energy sector in Ukraine after the war, improving energy efficiency in this process and will contribute to the sustainable development of the country as a whole.
