Abstract

In the article, based on the consideration of reproduction essence of an enterprise’s intellectual capital as a process of formation, consumption and renewal of all intellectual capital elements, which considered not as a single act, but continuously repeating, the features of intellectual capital movement are identified. Intellectual capital movement is presented as a recast of capital turnover classical formula. It is proposed to divide the whole process of intellectual capital movement into three stages: formation, consumption and renovation of intellectual capital. In the process of movement intellectual capital accepts and resets three functional forms: monetary, production and commodity form. Money which are the initial form of intellectual capital, are necessary for investments into the formation, acquisition, development of intellectual capital or to receive its items for temporary use (lease), namely for the formation of intellectual capital production form. It was shown that the consumption of intellectual capital elements has such distinction as its’ simultaneous self-growth, among scientists it is called «prosumerism». It means that intellectual capital, unlike material capital, is capable of self-growth during its consumption, which is explained by the creation of new knowledge in the scientific research and development process. At the same time, the scale of intellectual capital reproduction of an enterprise depends not only on the volume of creation of new knowledge at the enterprise, but also on the dynamics of their wear under the influence of scientific and technological progress. Besides to self-growth, the result of second stage of intellectual capital movement is an intellectual products creation under which it is proposed to understand the useful intellectual result of an enterprise’s activities, which is intended for sale.
